The National
Horticulture Board (NHB) provides a credit-linked back-ended subsidy under the
Capital Investment Subsidy Scheme for the construction, expansion, and
modernization of cold storages. It offers 35% subsidy for general areas and 50%
for North East, hilly, and scheduled areas, primarily targeting projects with
capacities above 5,000 MT.

Region, it can be 1,000 MT or above.

Components: Construction of new cold storage, expansion of existing units,
modernization, and Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage.
Additional
Benefits: Solar system installation in cold storage attracts a 35%-50% subsidy
on a project cost up to Rs. 35 lakh.
